Tania Leon's Mosaicos was commissioned by the International Double Reed Society as part of their 50 for 50 Commissioning Project, in which they commissioned 50 new works for double reeds to celebrate their 50th anniversary. It was premiered by bassoonist Monica Ellis, founding member of the Grammy-nominated wind quintet Imani Winds, at the 2022 IDRS Conference in Boulder, CO.
